MiCROSOFT 365

I was a senior editing and writing consultant for the Microsoft internal studio from 2018-2022. I worked on a wide range of projects including websites, promotional email campaigns and landing pages, event content and promotion, social posts, pre- and post-event content for a new product launch (Microsoft Viva), presentation decks, and terminology and language testing—everything from the massive rebrand of Office 365 to Microsoft 365 to Microsoft Edge screensaver teasers promoting Microsoft Teams. Suffice it to say, I was writing and editing for a wide-range of channels and audiences from C-Suite execs to SMB to anyone with a device around the globe. It required a deep understanding of the brand guidelines including voice, tone, and language usage; terminology; character counts and formatting; and localization. I also helped onboard and train new writers and editors.

MICROSOFT PROJECT

This was a rare opportunity to start from scratch and create an entire site for an app in the Microsoft 365 suite. It was also an opportunity to work closely with a product marketing manager who wanted to infuse the site with an empowering tone meant to speak to professional project managers and weekend warriors alike.

HYBRID WORK

Late in the pandemic, I was asked to help explain hybrid work when it was still a new concept and term. This content was added to various Microsoft 365 web pages to help drive SEO and promote hyperlinked thought leadership articles.

Shorter forms of the content are still being used on various Microsoft pages.

Microsoft 365 SMB HUB

Microsoft needed a home for small business help and how-to articles created to generate and funnel SMB SEO traffic to Microsoft 365 and Teams. I wrote the copy for the site and contributed a few of the articles.
